Expect a few inches of snow and plenty of sunshine, along with average temperatures hovering around the 30s. It’s a festive month packed with holiday markets and local celebrations like Christmas at Flying W Ranch and the Bridge of Lights at Royal Gorge Bridge & Park.
In January, daytime temperatures often land in the low-40s, making it a little more comfortable for outdoor activities than December. Visitor levels tend to be lower this time of year, so it's a great time to visit some of our most popular attractions.
February mixes climbing temperatures with the occasional cold spell. Chillier weather sets the stage for live ice sculpting at the Cripple Creek Ice Festival and exploring the towering walls at Ice Castles.
