Colorado Springs will surprise you with its culinary landscape. We partnered with local ambassador Jenn O'Neil with @HangryAsianGirl to highlight new bites and classic favorites from a local's perspective. Use this itinerary as your guide to good eats in the Springs!

Meet our ambassador – Jenn O'Neil

Jenn O'Neil (@HangryAsianGirl on Instagram) is a Colorado Springs-based digital creator who loves trying new foodie spots and sharing them with locals. You can find her at the grand openings in the area, trying to new restaurant menu releases and giving back to the food community through her reviews.

Oktoberfest at Red Swing Brewhouse

Throughout the year, local restaurants and breweries will get together to host celebrations, just like Oktoberfest at Red Swing Brewhouse. For the 2023 fest, 10 local breweries brought their craft beer and food trucks Mateo's Catering and Crazy Culinary Creations brought delicious food. This family and dog friendly event also had live music, games and prizes.

Taste of Old Colorado City

After a hiatus due to Covid-19, Taste of Old Colorado City came back in 2023! Jenn attended the Sunday afternoon event, which included live music and samples of both food and drink from restaurants in OCC. While everything she tried was delicious, her favorites were from Centennial Cuts and Buffalo Gals.

Rocky Mountain Food Tours

The best way to try several restaurants in one day is through Rocky Mountain Food Tours. Not only do you get to try the best bites in town, but the tours also include history about culture, art and community in downtown Colorado Springs.

Things to know – Jenn took the 3-Hour Original Colorado Springs Food Tour, which covered 1.5 miles. You can also book a 2.5-Hour Signature Cocktail Tour or the Craft Brewery Tour. Also note that the stops on the tour change throughout the year.

Stay at Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn

After all the foodie tours and events, it's nice to kick your feet up and relax. What better spot to do that than at Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn? Holden House is a cozy bed and breakfast nestled in an Old Colorado City neighborhood. It's charm comes from the Victorian style house and decorations, built by early Colorado Springs pioneer Isabel Holden. Owners Sallie and Welling Clark restored and renovated the home in 1985, and it has been a cherished icon in Colorado Springs ever since.

Things to know – The inn also offers personal massages, gourmet breakfast, wine socials and in-suite bathtubs for heightened relaxation.

Brunch at Kinship Landing

Kinship Landing, a boutique hotel in downtown Colorado Springs, is not only a a unique lodging experience, but a hub for locals to create connections with travelers. They host tons of events throughout the year, just like this Harvest Brunch Jenn attended. The brunch was held in Kinship's sun-filled Greenhaus while live music filled the room.

Brunch featured a mimosa flight with orange and grapefruit juice, pumpkin spice iced coffee, chilaquiles, french toast with blackberry compote and chicken and waffles

Things to know – Homa Bar & Cafe is open to everyone - you don't have to book a room! Head to Homa for a meal of fresh ingredients, including hearty grain bowls, sandwiches and signature handpies.

A Day of Food

Mission Coffee Roasters

This Colorado Springs favorite offers French cuisine for breakfast and lunch, with classic dishes like Garlic Butter Escargot, Croque Monsieur, French Dip and Almond Toasted French Toast.

The Warehouse Restaurant

For the final stop on Jenn's foodie adventure, she enjoyed a casual but elegant dinner at The Warehouse Restaurant. Owner and Chef James Africano combines his experience with game meats, New Mexico flavor and good old-fashioned home cooking to prepare outstanding and flavorful meals.

Dinner:

- Artichoke & Parmesan Dip
- Badger's Bibb Salad (Golden Phesant Dressing, Toasted Walnuts, Boiled Eggs, Bleu Cheese Crumbles and Shaved Red Onion)
- Grilled Pork Tenderloin (Apple Butter, Spaetzle, Sage, Brown Butter) served with Arugula Salad with Shaved Sweet Onion and Smoked Tea Vinaigrette
- Spinach & Ricotta Ravioli
- Veal Saltimbocca (Prosciutto, Sage, White Wine, Butter, Roasted Garlic & Herb Polenta served with Crispy Brussel Sprouts with Saba, Lemon & Pecans)
