Start your wellness journey off on the right foot by drawing inspiration from the scenic beauty of the natural landscape at The Broadmoor Seven Falls. This majestic series of cascades located in a box canyon is a breathtaking experience – that will also literally take your breath away as you climb up the steps to view the top parts of the falls. So, bring water and prepare to be active. For an accessible alternative, take the Mountain Elevator up to the Eagle’s Nest viewing point. It is a seasonal attraction, so double check open dates when planning.
For lunch, dine at Restaurant 1858, on site at Seven Falls. The menu is uniquely Colorado and inspired by the region’s early frontier cooking. Think Rocky Mountain Red Trout, bison burgers and Colorado River Catfish.
Finish the afternoon with a tour of the Penrose Heritage Museum, located at The Broadmoor. This collection of exhibits features artifacts from Spencer and Julie Penrose and their legacy in the Pikes Peak Region. You’ll learn about iconic local spots – like the Pikes Peak Highway, Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun and Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo – and leave feeling more connected to the area. Afterward, pop over to Café Julie's at The Broadmoor for world-class chocolates and gelato.
AM: Horseback ride through Garden of the Gods Park with Academy Riding Stables
PM: Reset at Colorado Salt Cave Wellness Center
Experience the glory of Garden of the Gods Park on horseback with Academy Riding Stables. A guide will lead you through the trails as you take in the views and learn a bit along the way.
Afterward, spend a few hours at Colorado Salt Cave Wellness Center. Explore everything from salt therapy to Ayurvedic treatments, massage, sauna and cold plunge therapy. You can even book a couple’s massage experience in the salt cave where you can enjoy the benefits of the salt therapy combined with therapeutic massage.
