This itinerary is designed to give you a taste for what the Pikes Peak Region has to offer couples. If you and your significant other love to enjoy a little adventure, a little relaxation and a whole lot of fun, then keep reading, get inspired and book your trip!
We love a cute, cozy B&B moment for couples! Stay in quaint Old Colorado City at one of our local bed & breakfast spots. Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast Inn brings romantic Victorian charm to any stay. Each of the six suites feature private baths, sitting areas, fireplaces and queen or king beds. A complimentary full breakfast is served each morning. Lay the romance on thick with add-ons like champagne, roses and an in-room massage for two.
Another nearby option is Old Town Guesthouse! Several rooms feature a private, two-person sauna/steam shower and others have a private hot tub and fireplace. Guests are served a delicious breakfast each morning. Take it up a notch with additional options for champagne, wine, chocolate, flowers and breakfast in bed.

Share small plates at a local favorite spot in Old Colorado City, Tapateria. These Spanish-inspired bites also happen to be 100% gluten free. For a romantic dinner, try Peppertree Restaurant – a classic steakhouse with incredible views of the cityscape. Other options for dinner with a beautiful sunset view include RYZE Skyline Lounge and The Penrose Room. At The Penrose Room, you can even get a custom martini cart experience with their Tableside Cocktail Trolley. If you want a classy fondue experience, the Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant in Manitou Springs is a must.

A great couple’s adventure in Colorado Springs starts with a leisurely hike! Check out Siamese Twins Trail at Garden of the Gods Park, which offers a classic photo op of the red rock formations perfectly framing Pikes Peak. From there, you can keep it short or continue on the connecting Cabin Canyon Trail for a longer route.
When you’re done exploring the park together, stop at Glen Eyrie Castle next door. A castle is inherently romantic, but we’ll do you one better with high tea! Enjoy the delicious tea and finger sandwiches at one of the most historic properties in the city.
End the day with a couple’s massage at the Colorado Salt Cave Wellness Center! The Salt Cave Couples Massage Experience is a 90-minute, healing journey. With side-by-side tables inside of the salt cave, you’ll enjoy the combination of therapeutic massage plus the benefits of halotherapy.
AM: Explore Paint Mines Interpretive Park

On your second day in town, take a drive out to the Eastern Plains! Paint Mines Interpretive Park is a beautiful site featuring colorful hoodoo rock formations. Enjoy the quiet trails and perfect spots for a picnic lunch.
Later in the day, take a cooking class with The French Kitchen. There are so many options offered ranging from Asian and French cuisine to brunch and dessert, so browse their website and check out available dates. Take home new kitchen skills to impress each other well beyond your visit!
Book a sunset soak at the SunWater Spa cedar tubs for the evening. Pro tip: The Mary’s Mountain Tub is located up the hill and separate from the main tub decks. For the most personal experience, reserve this private tub and enjoy the dry sauna for two as well! It can book up a month in advance, so plan accordingly.
AM: Adventure Mini Golf
PM: Dinner at Roth’s Sea & Steak
PM: Show at Ford Amphitheater
Putt-putt is a classic date activity, but have you ever played a round in the Pikes Peak Region? Adventure Mini Golf has four unique courses, all with incredible views of the Front Range. Play a round or two then grab some lunch nearby.
Then in the evening, get gussied up and head out to happy hour and dinner at Roth’s Sea & Steak. The in-house cocktail lounge, Brohan’s, offers sweeping views of the Front Range and Ford Amphitheater stage. You’ll enjoy the elevated menu and refined atmosphere.
End the night with a show at the Ford Amphitheater, season-permitting. The concert season typically runs April through October, so plan ahead and snag tickets! You can even book seats in one of the venue’s luxury firepit suites to take your experience a step further.
AM: Hot air balloon ride with Adventures Out West
PM: Explore Downtown Colorado Springs via PikeRide
PM: Catch a live performance
For the last day of your visit, book a hot air balloon ride with Adventures Out West (weather permitting). Enjoy the peace and serenity of flying above the mountains with a bird’s eye view. All flights leave at sunrise, so prepare accordingly.
Once your feet hit the ground again, explore Downtown Colorado Springs. Rent a couple of PikeRide e-bikes so you can make the most of your time and navigate more conveniently. Some favorite stops to enjoy are Yobel/The LookUp Gallery, Cacao Chemistry, and Hunt + Gather.
In the evening, catch a live performance at one of the local venues. The Broadmoor World Arena, Pikes Peak Center, Ent Center for the Arts, Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center at Colorado College and Springs Ensemble Theatre all offer a range of shows from music and comedy to orchestras and plays – check dates ahead of time!
