Partnership Model

The Visit Colorado Springs CVB operates under a Partnership Model rather than a Membership Model.


Major points of the Partnership Model include:

  • The Partnership Model allows the CVB to represent the entire region to the public, which results in a better experience for leisure travelers, meeting planners, tour operators and event organizers.
  • Businesses that have traditionally been referred to as Members will be known as Marketing Partners under this model.
  • Marketing Partners will pay an annual fee and receive some benefits at no additional charge, with other opportunities available for a fee.
  • Community Partners are businesses that choose to be listed on the CVB website, mobile site and mobile app, but have not yet chosen to invest as a Marketing Partner.
  • Marketing Partners will enjoy other online enhancements such as a longer description on the category listing page, a photo and short description on basic detail pages and additional photos and embedded video on enhanced pages for no additional cost.
  • Marketing Partners receive the following benefits as part of their annual Partnership investment:
    • Up to three category listings on VisitCOS.com as well as the mobile version of the site and the Colorado Springs mobile app
    • Longer description on category listing pages (45 words)
    • Image, 45-word description, amenities listing, contact information, social media link and website link on Detail Page
    • Brochure distribution in Visitor Information Center
    • Group leads and referrals
    • Consumer referrals
    • Two-line listing in Official Visitor Guide
    • Listing in Meeting Planner Guide (lodging and venue facilities)
    • Listing in Dining, Shopping & Entertainment Guide (restaurants, retailers and entertainment venues)
    • Discounts to CVB events
    • Monthly CVB Partner eNewsletter
    • Online access to update account and listing information
    • Opportunity to serve on CVB committees and board of directors
    • Listing, if appropriate, in Colorado Springs Film Commission Production Resource Guide
    • PR exposure and consulting
    • Access to research and images
    • Quarterly Partner Benefits education sessions and periodic sessions on other topics
  • Marketing Partners have the opportunity to invest in the following promotional programs:
    • Website banner ads
    • Consumer newsletter ads
    • Visitor Guide order confirmation web page ad
    • Visitor Guide confirmation email ad
    • Enhanced detail pages on VisitCOS.com
    • Featured status on mobile app
    • Visitor Information Center video ad (replaces Kiosk featured listing)
    • Consumer leads - various categories
    • Meeting Planner Guide - lodging and venue partners may upgrade listing with a photo
    • Dining, Shopping & Entertainment Guide - restaurant, retail and entertainment partners may purchase an ad
    • Co-Op advertising with the CVB in various publications
    • Participation in travel writer trips and sweepstakes
  • Community Partners may upgrade to Marketing Partner at any time.
  • Marketing and Community Partners may purchase ads in the Official Visitor Guide.

Kim has worked with the CVB on three separate occasions and this time, we're not letting her go. She is immersed in the community, helping businesses connect with the 20.5 million people who visit the region each year. In addition to partnership sales and retention, Kim creates a full schedule of educational and networking events that include the Annual Business Meeting, Tourism Awards Celebration, quarterly mixers, partner orientation sessions and educational series.

Denise began her CVB career as Partnership Coordinator in 2012 and transitioned to the position of Marketing Coordinator for several years. In 2017, she returned to the position of Partnership Coordinator. She assists Partners with keeping their information current on the CVB website and in CVB publications. She also assists with Account Reviews, Partner Communications and CVB events. Denise is an accomplished photographer, having been published and won several awards.
