Here's your official guide to spooky and fun Halloween events in Colorado Springs in 2022, including haunted mines and farms, ghost tours, an only-in-Colorado Springs coffin race, bar crawls, fall festivals, family-friendly activities, deals and more!
Enjoy a full day of spooky fun at the annual Emma Crawford Coffin Races in Manitou Springs, featuring impersonators dressed as late local legend, Emma Crawford, riding on coffin-like karts pulled by teams “mourners,” each vying for awards such as "Best Emma" and "Most Creative Coffin." Accompanying events include the Emma Crawford Estate Sidewalk Sale and a Victorian Wake at Miramont Castle held the evening before the races.

Bring your little superhero, princess or pirate to Boo at the Zoo Oct. 21-23, and 28-31, 4 to 8:30 p.m., when Cheyenne Mountain Zoo comes alive with the spirit of Halloween. Boo at the Zoo gives your family an alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, complete with your favorite animals! Set in a unique environment, attendees will feel good about collecting candy made with sustainable palm oil to help protect wild orangutans. Put on your costume and bring your trick-or-treat bag to the wildest Halloween event in town. It’ll be a frightfully good time!

Trick-or-Treat at the 8th annual Halloween spook-tac-ular at the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park. Businesses and non-profits will be handing out candy as you Trick-or-Treat through the park. There will be live music by Deja Bluz, Dance entertainment by The B Box and a spooky haunted theater with live creatures provided by Nature’s Educators. Don’t forget to bring your candy bucket. It will be a treat to have you here!

Visit the annual Haunted Mines haunted house, now in a bigger, darker new location. This one-of-a kind haunted house — inspired by the spookier side of Colorado's mining legacy — is sure to scare, and now joins three other haunted attractions at the new Fear Complex, including The Sanitarium, 3-D Carnevil, and Sinister Manor.

All aboard the friendliest Train in Colorado! This year’s Oktoberfest experience aboard the Royal Gorge Railroad features bratwurst served over red cabbage and sautéed apples topped with spaetzle drizzled with a Düsseldorf German mustard. This German-inspired meal is served with a roll and butter and includes a frosty pint of beer in a free commemorative pint glass for you to take home as a souvenir.

Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center continues their annual Howl-O-Ween tradition this October. The center will pass out meat-filled pumpkins to all the wolves and enjoy a bonfire and refreshments.
