3. Manitou Cliff Dwellings

Finally, exhibits you can climb on! There’s no such thing as a “do not climb” sign at the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. Kids can explore these recreated Ancient Puebloan dwellings for hours and also enjoy two onsite museums.

4. May Natural History Museum

If it’s creeped or crawled, it’s here. The May Natural History Museum has thousands of tropical specimens including beautiful butterflies, bizarre beetles, giant spiders and deadly scorpions collected over 100 years. Seasonal.

5. Manitou Springs

Manitou Springs is a fun and funky town located just five miles west of Colorado Springs. It has an old-fashioned Arcade as well as fun shops to explore. The kids will also enjoy the playgrounds in the parks near the creek.

6. The North Pole - Santa’s Workshop


This great attraction is one of the locals' favorite things to do in Colorado Springs with family. It’s a kid-friendly, Christmas-themed amusement park with rides, entertainment, food, shopping, petting zoo and a frozen North Pole. Seasonal: May – December 24.

7. Ghost Town Museum

This historic town will amaze and amuse. Stroll down the indoor boardwalk to discover what life was like in a mining town. Take on targets in a shooting gallery, pan for gold and get a fun souvenir.

8. Space Foundation Discovery Center

Have some “out of this world” fun at the Space Foundation’s Discovery Center. The kiddos will be amazed at the 6-ft projection sphere as they learn about the earth, our solar system and space exploration.
