'The Seafarer' by Conor McPherson

Directed by SET’s Tim Muldrew, the production is being put on in conjunction with SET’s Give Pikes Peak fundraising campaign, which will enable the company to continue providing intimate live theatre to the Pikes Peak region.

The play takes place on Christmas Eve, and Sharky (played by SET member Steve Emily) has returned to Dublin to look after his irascible brother Richard (Micah Spiers) who’s recently gone blind. Old drinking buddies Ivan (David Hastings) and Nicky (Jude Bishop) are holed up at the house too, hoping to play some cards. But with the arrival of a stranger from the distant past (Stephen Alan Carver), the stakes are raised ever higher. The Seafarer is a dark comedy about the sea, Ireland, and the power of myth.
