19th Annual Mountain of Authors
Join us for the 2025 Mountain of Authors program, featuring Keynote Author Pete McBride! Our annual Mountain of Authors program provides an opportunity for readers and local authors to network and hear from notable authors, as well as learn more about the craft of writing and trends in publishing. The program this year features:
- Keynote speaker Pete McBride, author of The Colorado River: Chasing Water .
- Publishing Realities Talk with Michael Covington.
- Over thirty local authors from the Pikes Peak region and across the Front Range will showcase their books and be available for meet and greets, book signings, and book sales.

About Keynote Speaker Pete McBride:
Coloradan Pete McBride has spent two decades studying the world with a camera. An award-winning photographer, filmmaker, author, and public speaker, he is recognized as a Sony Artisan of Light and has traveled on assignment to more than 75 countries for the National Geographic Society, Smithsonian, Google, The Nature Conservancy, and many others. He has taken the stage for TEDx, The World Economic Forum, Pixar, Nat Geo Live, and more. His feature documentary, Into the Canyon, was nominated for an Emmy in 2020, and his books Between River and Rim, Seeing Silence, and Chasing Water have all won National Outdoor Book Awards.
