2. Honor Our Heroes at the U.S. Air Force Academy
This historic spot is an educational establishment that offers a behind-the-scenes perspective into the daily lives of the U.S. Force Academy. Stroll through the grounds of the Harmon Memorial, which pays tribute to U.S. Air Force Academy graduates.
3. Support Veteran-Owned Businesses in Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs features a variety of veteran-owned spots, from breweries to restaurants. Sip on refreshing drinks and indulge in scrumptious bites while supporting our local heroes.

This unique, 2-hour SUP experience boasts a beautiful backdrop of Cheyenne Mountain and the Rocky Mountain Front Range. Native birds and dragonflies whizzing by will join us. Led by Dragonfly Paddle Yoga, the class will be a blend of gentle flowing postures followed by a live sound bath of Native American flutes during Savasana. Next, we’ll savor a yummy brunch served to you on the lake.

MeadowGrass Music Festival is the premier music festival to kick off summer in the Pikes Peak Region. Always held over Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend, MeadowGrass is known for attracting up-and-coming talent from the region and all over the world. Besides the amazing musicians, we have activities for kids (12 and under get in free with a paid adult), workshops, yoga, late-night shows, a ropes course, and an archery range.

For families of the fallen, every day is Memorial Day. Everyone is invited to commemorate Memorial Day by participating in the Angel Run. There is a 5K or 10 K, with the option to have it timed, and a virtual event for out-of-area supporters! Both routes will take you in front of the beautiful Garden of the Gods Park. The event will take place at Red Leg Brewing Company, where music, food, and drinks will be available for purchase.
