The Colorado Springs Airport announces "dollar-a-day" long-term parking for the holiday season. As Southern Colorado residents plan their holiday travel, COS offers this gift to show appreciation to our community for continued patronage. So if you're heading out of Colorado Springs for the holidays, but sure to "look before you book" to get a flight (and a great deal on parking!) out of the Colorado Springs Airport.

Acoustic Eidolon Concert

A fun-filled Sleigh or wagon ride awaits you at M Lazy C Ranch this winter season. All rides are pulled by Percheron draft horses that were raised on the ranch. Christmas Mouse's Messy Tea Party

Bear Creek Nature Center has several fun winter activities for the entire family.

All ages are invited to celebrate the season at Bear Creek Nature Center. Participants will be greeted by a walkway lit with luminaries and hike a candlelit trail along Bear Creek. Inside, listen to music, savor a warm bowl of chili from our 8th Street Texas Roadhouse, hot chocolate and cookies, and create memories for the season. Santa Claus will be available for pictures.

Jingle Bell Walk & Pictures with Santa Paws 

Bring your four-legged friends to Bear Creek Regional Park's Dog Park for a walk and have your pup's picture taken with Santa Paws (pictures will be available for online download). Enjoy education stations and treats.

Enjoy nature hikes with Santa, and horse drawn wagon rides at Fountain Creek Nature Center.

When you get back, enjoy the sounds of Suffolk Punch draft horses clip-clopping down the regional trail with jingle bells and seasonal songs.

You can behold a most magnificent site this holiday and winter season when The Broadmoor Seven Falls lights up the entire canyon with more than 100,000 individual white lights on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. 

Join us when we turn on the lights and kick off the holiday season with fun events for all. Be sure to stop by the holiday themed "Selfie-Station". Restaurant 1858 will be open for lunch and dinner. Reservations are highly recommended.

5pm: Look up into the sky and see Santa cross the canyon on the Soaring Adventure Zip Line. Then watch for him to rappel into the park shortly afterwards where he will flip the switch and bring on all the lights for the holiday season.

Christmas in Cripple Creek & Victor is a special time of year. Holiday activities will kick off with the nightly Gold Camp Christmas Holiday Headframe Lighting. Take a drive (with your favorite Christmas tunes playing) on a self-guided tour through our area as our mine headframes are decorated with large Christmas light displays.  Would you prefer a guided tour?   • Lighting of the Headframes, Cripple Creek-Victor Gold Mining District
    eA shuttle will be leaving the Aspen Mine Center located in Cripple Creek at 5:30pm and will tour through the lighted headframes, arriving in Victor for the Victor Parade of Lights and the Victor Gold Bowl. The Parade of Lights, a bonfire, caroling and festive activities will kick off Victor's evening festivities. Reservations are NOT accepted.

The Simpich Marionette Showcase Theatre will present its original play The Puppet Maker: A Story of Christmas

In this solo theatre presentation, puppeteer David Simpich portrays a village woodcarver painstakingly preparing a marionette Nativity scene for a local Christmas music festival. the audience steps inside his workshop on the eventful Christmas Eve night before the pageant as he applies the finishing touches to his figures of the Wise Men, Mary and Joseph. 

Runtime is 100 minutes and includes a 10 minute intermission. Performance recommended for adults and children 6+.

Visitors can make a trip to Santa’s Workshop, also known as The North Pole. This Christmas-themed family amusement park has something for the entire family. Meet Santa and his elves. Ride on more than two dozen unique, friendly rides, swing through the sky on the Enterprise Space Shuttle, or enjoy the whimsical antique carousel. You can fly through the sky on an Aerial Tram or stay on the ground with the Miniature Train. Give the resident llamas and goats some tasty treats, catch the magic show or shop in the village. This 45-minute round trip on the highest cog in the world will go 2 miles up the tracks to the historic Minnehaha Siding. Santa's Elves will be along for the ride and tell the story of Santa on Pikes Peak. The ride back will include hot chocolate and cookies. All Aboard the Santa Express Train at the Royal Gorge Route Railroad! The Santa Express is a winter wonderland, where children (and all) are encouraged to wear cozy pajamas and relax with family and friends.  Enjoy a complimentary hot cocoa and a cookie on the way to the North Pole, decorated like a true Christmas town, bedecked with holiday lights for its most famous resident – Santa Claus.  ‘Tis the season for lights, animals and holiday spirit at America's only mountain zoo. Take in the nearly one million sparkling lights illuminating the crisp winter night, warm up at one of the fires throughout the Zoo, then stop in and see Santa (through Dec. 23). Select animal exhibits are open during the event. It’s a family tradition not to be missed.

Downtown Colorado Springs is pleased to announce the return of ice skating to Acacia Park for the holiday season. A 4,675 square-foot, real-ice rink will be located along the west side of Acacia Park. The rink is a collaborative effort between the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Services and Downtown Colorado Springs.
