Event Summary
Join us this winter to learn more of the beauty behind the seasonal change. The winter walk is a guided walk through Cheyenne Mountain State park. The program is slated throughout the winter on the trails from the Limekiln. The walk will take place from 12:30-2:00 pm on selected dates. Subject matter discussed will pertain to park ecology and natural science. Distance will be 1-2 miles depending on group and route. Weather appropriate clothes are advised, as the hike will commence rain or shine. All ages are welcome, but keep in mind the skill level needed to hike 2 miles over changing terrain. Sign up online is not required but is encouraged.
Audience: All are welcome, however, please keep in mind individual skill level and challenge of an hour long moderate hike.
Dogs not permitted
Fee: Park entry fee required
Time duration: 1-2 hours maximum, although under an hour is possible based on walk dynamics.
Location: Limekiln Trailhead close to bathrooms.
