Event Summary
This Year the Springs Art And Seek Partnering with the Manitou Art Center is sponsored by COPPeR - The Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region.
Make Art - Hide Art & Seek Art.
Want to Participate?
The entire community is invited to join in the fun by creating a piece of art to hide, by searching for the hidden art, or both!
Please note to participate you do need to have a public Instagram Account.
The event will be managed virtually by the Springs Art and Seek Society.
Follow our instagram page @springsartandseek for details, the official countdown, and to see featured artists this year.
The artists will post progress pics on Instagram and tag #springsartandseek with what they are making prior to the event, so the creations can be shared with all the participants who should also follow #springsartandseek and @springsartandseek.
Prior to the event - Visit the Manitou Art Center & MAKE an Artist Trading Card at the Trading Card Station in the 515 building (to HIDE for others to SEEK).
On the day of the event, the artists will hide the creations and post clues and tag #springsartandseek and @springsartandseek, so the searchers can start looking.
Clues can be photos of the artwork in situ, or verbal clues.
We ask that you hide work on public property only and please do not hide artwork in nature preserves or along forest trails.
Once the clues start being posted, the searchers can start looking!
Searchers should be sure to follow the #springsartandseek and @springsartandseek to see clues.
Once a piece of artwork is found, the finder posts a picture of what they found, tagging both the artist and #springsartandseek & @springsartandseek.
The finder gets to keep the artwork!
At the end of the day the artists who have not heard if their piece was found are asked to go check on it, and if it was not found to pick it up to minimize any environmental impact.
All ages welcome! Recommended - below 18 - accompanied by guardian or parent.
