Sacred Heart Parish, a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Colorado Springs that consists of Sacred Heart Church in Colorado Springs, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Manitou Springs, and Holy Rosary Chapel in Cascade, is celebrating its 100th Anniversary in July. During the weekend of July 15-17, 2022, we want to invite the community (both Catholics and non-Catholics alike) to come and celebrate our centennial with us!
On Friday, July 15, from 5-8 p.m. we will offer tours of the newly restored Sacred Heart Church, including the history of the art and architecture. We will also have live music from the All In Jazz Trio and Food Trucks from Craig's Fusion Mobile Restaurant offering Venezuelan food, Papa Bear'z Grill Restaurant offering American food, and the Wicked Good Ice Cream Truck. Indoor/Outdoor dining available.
On Saturday, July 16, from 5:30-8:00 p.m., we will offer 5:30 pm Mass at Sacred Heart Church with Bishop Bill Wack. There will also be a dedication of the new Our Lady of Sorrows sculpture by Dr. Joel Ernster located on the southwest side of Sacred Heart Church. A reception will follow in the Parish Center gym with refreshments and live music from the All in Jazz Trio.
On Sunday, July 17, from 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., we will offer a 9 am Mass at Sacred Heart Church with Bishop James Golka, the Bishop of the Diocese of Colorado Springs, presiding. There will be the dedication of the new St. Andr? House, a multi-purpose parish meeting house located next to the church that was recently completed. A light reception will follow in the St. Andr? House. Bishop James Golka will also preside at the 11:30 a.m. Mass.
