What is Yoga Nidra?
Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium. This technique of meditation helps regulate our nervous systems, improve sleep, relieve stress and so much more.
What is a sound bath?
In a sound bath session, you are in a comfortable position (lying or seated) while a series of sound healing instruments such as: crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, gongs, tuning forks or other instruments are played in what is referred to as a sound bath. As you listen to and are “bathed” the sounds, your body receives the frequencies and vibrations emitted from the instruments and you can experience a wide range of benefits from the sessions.
