Event Summary
Visit Auric Gallery between January 2 and 15, 2026 to experience the profound beauty and depth of humanity reflected in the portraits and poetry of local photographer John Goddard and Westside CARES CEO Kristy Milligan. In this collection, created for deeply personal reasons, John and Kristy reveal what they have witnessed in the individuals featured: “real people with real lives, real joys, and real sorrows.”
This community-building* exhibit, accompanied by a published book of complementary portraits and poems, seeks to raise awareness of the neighbors among us who are struggling to survive, many experiencing homelessness. It offers a rare opportunity to see them up close—capturing their beauty and humanity, honoring their stories, and inspiring a deeper commitment to care for one another.
In the spirit of fostering care within our community, we encourage groups to attend this collection together and take time to share reflections during or after the viewing.
Part of the proceeds and all donations will support Westside CARES in providing emergency assistance to neighbors with critical needs.
