Event Summary
Real Films
Meals are provided, creating a moment to pause, share lunch, and settle into the films together. Doors open at 11:30 AM. We encourage you to arrive early to grab your meal and be seated before the program begins.
Presented by the Youth Documentary Academy and Rocky Mountain PBS, this lunchtime screening features four short documentaries by local young adult filmmakers. Through personal storytelling, the films explore mental health, immigration, women’s health, and aging — offering perspectives that resonate across generations and invite reflection and connection.
Real Talk
Following the screening, audiences are invited into pod conversations held within The Source Never Diminishes, on view in the Gallery of Contemporary Art. These intergenerational conversations bring together people featured in the films, the young adult directors, and the audience. Facilitated by the UCCS Department of Social Work, Rocky Mountain PBS, and more!
Explore the Connections Corridor, featuring community partners, mental health organizations, and public media offering resources and points of connection beyond the screening.
