Event Summary

Learn about the ecology of meadows and open spaces with park naturalist Sam Owens. The walk takes place in Cheyenne Mountain State Park, starting at the Prairie Falcon Amphitheater parking at 10:00 am at select dates in July. Reservations are available on CPW connect, but walk-ins are allowed. No fee is needed for the walk, but the entry fee to the park is still required. Walk will commence rain or shine, so participants are advised to come prepared for weather and trail conditions. Appropriate footwear and clothing is needed, as the trail is not paved.
