Event Summary
DUE TO SELL OUT SHOWS, ADDITIONAL SHOW TIMES JUST ADDED!! Jan 30-31 at 9pm!
Join us for Drinking Brecht, a one-of-a-kind experience where theatre, science, and curiosity come together. This automated laboratory performance and illustrated essay draws on DNA extracted from a hat worn by actors in Bertolt Brecht’s Berliner Ensemble to explore the past and present of genetics and synthetic biology...with no lab coat required.
Part documentary, part performance, and even something you can drink, Drinking Brecht playfully reimagines well-worn scientific stories as a shared ritual and a celebration of science for everyone. Come spend time with the work, engage your senses, and experience an imaginative, thought-provoking performance together.
