Though this year might look a little different, that doesn't mean you can't have spooky-fun this All Hallows' Eve. Here's your guide to 2020 Halloween Events in Colorado Springs including haunted mines, ghost tours, family-friendly activities, deals and more!


Although there will be no traditional coffin races running this year, Manitou is keeping the fun and festivities going all month!

They're doing this a little differently this year. Sign up your team (up to 5 members) to compete for the Emma Cup! On October 17, put on your detective hats to solve some clues. Your team will have to submit all of your pictures to coffinraces@manitouchamber.com by October 25, to have the most opportunities to win. Do you have what it takes?

See the Original Creatures of the Night at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. It’ll be all treats and no tricks for your little pirates and princesses at this year’s Boo at the Zoo, the region’s most unique Halloween event.  Boo at the Zoo is a fun way for families with young children to trick-or-treat and enjoy Halloween festivities in a safe environment.

All aboard the friendliest Train in Colorado! This year’s Oktoberfest experience features bratwurst served over red cabbage and sautéed apples topped with spaetzle drizzled with a Düsseldorf German mustard. Served with a roll and butter. Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center continues their annual Howl-O-Ween tradition this October. The center will pass out meat-filled pumpkins to all the wolves and enjoy a bonfire and refreshments. This sanctuary is located about an hour west of Colorado Springs in Divide. Reservations are required and space is limited.

Volunteers are needed to assist the Friends of Bear Creek Dog Park in the annual cleanup of the park on Ghouls & Stools Day, Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.  Buckets, bags and rubber gloves will be provided, but participants will need to bring their own shovel, scoop or implement of choice. Dogs should wear their Halloween finest, as there will be prizes for the best costumes (scariest, most original, and best matching duo).

In partnership with Arts Month 2020, Planet Walk Colorado Springs is sponsoring a space-themed art contest for all students from the Colorado Springs region in grades K-12. Electronic entries will be accepted in three categories: Visual Art, Photography, and Short Story/Poetry. $200 in total prizes will be awarded. 

The entire event will culminate with a self-guided walk along the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail, featuring planet markers that represent our solar system, musicians and art work. In honor of Halloween, everyone is invited to come out (costumed or not) and walk the trail.

The full moon this October 31st will be a very special evening. It will be a Blue Moon that only happens every two and a half years! Make this Halloween the most memorable by going on a guided sunset & evening group trail ride with your family and friends. We'll watch the moon rise at Pikes Peak overlook. Frights and Pints – The Haunted Beer Tour with Springs Beer Tours. Get ready for Thrills and Chills…chilled beer that is. Along the way, you'll sample some of the best craft beer that Colorado has to offer. Springs Beer Tours will also share a little bit of local history including some haunting, and sometimes humorous, stories of Manitou Springs famous, and infamous, ghosts and ghouls.
