Keep your money local and find unique gift items for all those on your holiday shopping list. While supporting unique small businesses is always a sound investment, it's even easier to celebrate these establishments during Small Business Saturday, held every year the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Spread the word and share your special finds on social with #SmallBusinessSaturday and #ShopSmall.

Up the road, Colorado's quirky mountain town, Manitou Springs, is filled with quaint shops, compelling galleries and wonderful restaurants. Holiday shoppers will have an easier time finding unique, locally-made gifts this season with the launch of “Manitou Made” by the Manitou Springs Creative District, in collaboration with the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. Manitou Made products will be identified in local businesses with tags, stickers, and placards starting on Small Business Saturday. Manitou Made products include locally-made items that are crafted, designed, prepared, sourced or brewed in the greater Manitou Springs region.
Wherever you go in the Pikes Peak region, Small Business Saturday is a wonderful opportunity to continue to support your favorite mom and pop shops and discover some other local favorites.
