With their answers we put together a list of ways you can explore the Springs with activities even locals are buzzing about.

Visit the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center

Head about 30 minutes west of Colorado Springs and you’ll find a truly unique experience: the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center. You can get up close with real wolves, coyotes and foxes at this educational sanctuary. Learn about biology, history and more on a tour, which ends in a group howl!

Explore the Broadmoor

You don’t have to be on vacation to enjoy the many thrills the Broadmoor has to offer. This historic property is home to tons of adventure you can enjoy, even if you’re not staying the night! Residents who haven’t had dinner at the Golden Bee to delight in British ales, classic singalongs and cozy tavern vibes need to consider it for their next date night. Thrill-seekers can have a Soaring Adventure on the Broadmoor’s ziplining and rope courses. Take in gorgeous views at the iconic Seven Falls!

Experience Glen Eyrie Castle

This beautiful castle tucked in the shadow of Garden of the Gods is like something out of a fairy tale. Glen Eyrie was the home of General William J Palmer, the founder of Colorado Springs. Locals may recognize him from his Downtown memorial statue. Nowadays, you can visit the property for tea, tours and even overnight stays.

Ride the Broadmoor Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Railway

Most locals have enjoyed a hike or drive up Pikes Peak, but many haven’t ridden the world’s highest cog railway up their favorite fourteener! Head to Manitou and hop aboard this scenic train ride to the summit of America’s Mountain. The Cog offers all the beautiful views of a drive or hike without the switchbacks!

Have an adventure at Cave of the Winds Mountain Park

Located in Manitou Springs, Cave of the Winds offers an adventure like no other. Venture underground on a cave tour, where you can learn about the fascinating geological structures or the spooky ghosts that haunt them. The fun isn’t just underground, either! Traverse the high ropes course, scale the climbing wall or ride the Bat-A-Pult over a 200-ft cliff!

Tour Garden of the Gods Park

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a local who hasn’t driven through Garden of the Gods Park or walked its many trails. However, many Colorado Springs residents haven't explored the park in other fun ways, like horseback riding, segway tour, Jeep Tour or e-bike tour. With these exciting modes of transportation, you’ll see your favorite city park in a whole new light!
