Visit Colorado Springs Welcomes Jason Cutshaw as New Chief Financial Officer

Cutshaw will succeed Jim Cassidy upon his retirement and brings a wealth of tourism experience

Colorado Springs, Colo. – March 21, 2022 – Today, Visit COS announced the hire of Jason Cutshaw, who will succeed current CFO Jim Cassidy upon his retirement.

Cutshaw comes to Visit COS from the Walton County Tourism Department in Freeport, Florida, where he has worked since 2016 as both Director of Administration and Interim Executive Director. Under Cutshaw’s leadership, the Walton County Tourism Department received its official accredited status as a Destination Marketing Organization with Destinations International. Prior to that, he worked 11 years as a Park Manager, which he credits with developing his passion for the outdoors and tourism. Jason also served 24 years Retired as Chief Petty officer in the U.S. Navy Reserves and is an Iraq Combat Veteran.

“We are excited to announce Jason Cutshaw as our new CFO and are confident he will bring great tourism experience to the role,” said Doug Price, President & CEO of Visit COS. “We wish Jim and his wife, Sherri, the very best in their retirement and thank him endlessly for 17 years of hard work at Visit COS.”

Departing CFO Jim Cassidy started with Visit COS in 2005 and has been responsible for the organization’s assets, budget process, annual audit, accreditation, finance committee and accounting activities. Additionally, he has been instrumental in managing IT and HR – especially through the transition to working from home during 2020. He and Sherri will be retiring to Arizona.

Cutshaw and his wife, also Sherri, are relocating to Colorado Springs, along with their doodle Brody.
