Visit Colorado Springs Hosts 2026 Annual Business Meeting
The event included an announcement for the company’s next phase of leadership
Colorado Springs, Colo. – March 5, 2026 – Today, VCOS held its Annual Business Meeting with the theme “Navigating Our Roadmap.” The luncheon took place at Cheyenne Mountain Resort, with Pikes Peak Region Attractions serving as the presenting sponsor.
The event started with a recap of highlights from 2025 and included a special announcement from President & CEO Doug Price.
“After 16 years as the leader of this amazing organization, I’ve made the decision to retire,” said Price. “My plan is to work through most of this year and do turnover with a successor. The search effort for the next CEO is in great hands with our Board Chair Michelle Talarico and Vice Chair Megan Leatham.”

Another highlight of the event included a panel discussion moderated by VCOS Board Chair Michelle Talarico with panelists Doug Price from Visit Colorado Springs, Megan Leatham from Colorado Springs Sports Corporation and Becky Leinweber from Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance. The panel touched on the Destination Master Plan strategic roadmap key initiatives, tying in topics like tourism promotion funding, economic impact of sporting events and outdoor recreation as a year-round asset for both residents and visitors.
The final speaker of the evening was Paralympic gold and bronze medalist Kate Brim who spoke on her personal journey, her collaborative approach to success and rising above even when unexpected setbacks hit.
