UCCS Visiting Author Series proudly presents Pikes Peak Poet Laureate Ashley Cornelius as part of its Fall 2025 line-up.
Cornelius, author of Translations from the Soul and a Licensed Professional Counselor, has been recognized as the 2023 NAMI Advocate of the Year. Her work explores empowerment, self-care, body positivity and other timely themes, making this event a rich opportunity for readers, writers, and community members alike.
“Ashley's visit allows us to bring together students, faculty, and our surrounding community in a shared conversation about poetry not just to inspire, but to heal,” said Catherine Grandorff, coordinator of the UCCS Visiting Author Series.
The evening will include a reading from Translations from the Soul, followed by a Q&A session and book signing. Copies of the author’s work will be available for purchase.
