Event Summary
Join us for a day dedicated to celebrating the amazing National Natural Landmark that is Garden of the Gods Park! With this year being the America 250/Colorado 150 we wanted both our community and visitors to learn more about the historical and ecological importance of this amazing Park and how to help protect it.
Through interactive tables, wildlife programs, volunteer opportunities, and guided walks we hope you will get to learn more about the importance of preserving and caring for this very special place. This event is free and open to the public.
Programs Schedule:
Wildlife Conservation Programs from Nature’s Educators
Join Nature’s Educators to learn more about wildlife conservation with live animal ambassadors including a Bald Eagle, Aplomado Falcon, Peregrine Falcon, Burrowing Owl, and Desert Tortoise. These programs are free and first come first served during the following times:
10:00 – 11:00 am
11:00 am – 12:00 pm
1:00 – 2:00 pm
2:00 – 3:00 pm
Garden of the Gods Trail Work Volunteer Day with Rocky Mountain Field Institute
Join us, RMFI, and City Park Staff in Garden of the Gods for trail maintenance! This is a community stewardship opportunity that welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds and communities. Volunteers who are interested must register online by Friday, August 21, at noon. Ages 11+, minors 15 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
