About The Program
Visitor Services Manager, Amy Miller, will provide a brief history of the McAllisters and Phebe McAllister that connects to her book that was published in 1939. The book was the point of departure for the nearly two years of research for this project. After that, will be an examination of Charles J Connick and Burnham Hoyt; both were artists that Phebe McAllister collaborated closely with on the stained glass window and wood chancel canopy. Followed by Phebe’s artistic visions and collaborations and a close look at the stained glass window, panels, and woodwork.
About The Presenter
Amy D. Miller is the Visitor Services Manager at the McAllister House Museum in Colorado Springs. She holds a Master’s degree in Public History and is a U.S. Air Force veteran with a professional background in social work, special education, and accessibility. As a dedicated researcher and historian, Amy is passionate about uncovering stories through the lenses of history, genealogy, and material culture.
