Accompanied by PPOL member and collaborative pianist Daniel Brink, this intimate performance offers an inspiring glimpse into a young artist’s professional journey. Guests will enjoy a light lunch provided by PPOL Members, creating a welcoming space for music, conversation, and community.
The Spring Career Advancement Award Concert reflects PPOL’s ongoing commitment to supporting aspiring and professional vocal artists while fostering a deeper appreciation for opera and musical theatre in the Pikes Peak region.
About Hallie Schmidt:
American soprano Hallie Schmidt has performed with the Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Seattle Opera, Tacoma Opera, Pacific Northwest Opera, Vashon Opera. Recent performances include Blonde in Die Entfürung aus dem Serail and Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with Pacific Northwest Opera, Frasquita in Tacoma Opera’s Carmen, Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier, Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, and The Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute (filmed production) with Opera Theatre of St. Louis. Originally from Olympia, WA, Hallie received her Bachelor of Music from Oklahoma City University, and an Artist Diploma from William Jewell College in Kansas City, MO. Hallie has received awards from the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, Lotte Lenya Competition, the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, and was the 2023 winner of the Seattle Opera Guild Singer Development Awards. Hallie is an Artist in Residence with Opera Colorado for the 24/25 season. There she will cover Marie in Daughter of the Regiment, Musetta in La Bohème, as well as sing Inez in Il Trovatore. She is also a Co-Founder of Olympia Opera Theatre
