Event Summary
Warm or wintery, the signs of spring brings out the dramatic. Birdsong sounds louder as the sun rises. Tiny bulbs begin to peek out from a sprinkle of green in odd places. Indian Paintbrush is ready to bloom on high mountain hillsides. Trails start drying out enough to haul a plein air painting setup out without getting stuck in mud.
Garden of the Gods feels fresh and revitalized. Winds and storms race around leaving the scent of budding leaves and dust in their wake. The mountain peaks are the last to shake off their snow, white melting away to reveal rocks and boulders amid twisted bushes and trees.
