Sculpture Dedication with Artist Andy Scott
September 5, 2025 7:00 PM –9:00 PM
Event Summary
This September, Andy Scott’s newest creation, Belle, a monumental Percheron draft horse, will be installed at the entrance to the new Percheron community in eastern Colorado Springs. Inspired by local history and Ruth Banning’s legacy of hard-working Percherons to power her Coal & Ice business, the piece stands as both cultural landmark and tribute to the strength, heritage, and transformation of Colorado Springs.
The public is invited to celebrate at the Sculpture Dedication Ceremony on Thursday, September 4 at Percheron. Then, continue the experience at a special Artist Talk with Andy Scott on Friday, September 5 at 7:00 PM at Meanwhile Block, located at 119 W. Costilla St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903, where he will share his creative journey and the role of public art in shaping place. Learn more about the Friday Artist Talk HERE.
