Event Summary
COLONEL MUSTARD’S SANDWICH EMPORIUM presents PROFS & PINTS
Pre-Registration is required. Sack lunches (sandwich, cookie & chips) available for pre-purchase HERE for $20. Local craft beer will be available during the event.
Colonel Mustard’s Sandwich Emporium cares about our local community. We will be hosting FREE educational events about issues that affect our neighbors in the Pikes Peak region, our health and our environment, featuring experts in their fields and providing actionable advice intended to improve the lives of our neighbors, friends and fans.
Our inaugural PROFS & PINTS event is titled:
Breathe Easy: The Environmental Health and Science of Indoor Air
How does indoor air quality affect our health and cognition? We’ll use sensors to gather air samples, and build an inexpensive air cleaner so we can all breathe easier.
We’ll use sensors to gather indoor and outdoor air samples, plus we’ll build an inexpensive air cleaner so we can all breathe easier during allergy season and beyond.
Our PROFS will be:
ANDREA BRUDER, Colorado College’s Associate Dean and Professor of Mathematics. Andrea chaired CC’s Scientific Advisory Group which guided the school’s pandemic response. Her background and research interests bridge mathematics, medicine and public health, reflecting her evidence-informed approach to global issues.
Joining Andrea is JIM ROSENTHAL, CC Class of 1970, chair and CEO of Tex-Air Filters and the past president of the National Air Filtration Association. Jim has more than 20 years of experience in the air filtration and environmental control industries. He is also the president of the Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to providing clean air for underserved communities.
This is NOT A SALES PITCH to buy air filtration systems!
