Admission: The Pikes Peak Bonsai Show is free to attend, and all live demonstrations are free as well. For those who want a more hands-on experience, we’re also offering special Make & Take classes (pre-registration and a class fee required). Guests are encouraged to register online for the event itself—at no cost—to receive reminders, updates, and details leading up to the show.

The Pikes Peak Bonsai Society is proud to announce the first-ever Pikes Peak Bonsai Show, hosted at Phelan Gardens on October 11 and 12, 2025. This landmark event will showcase the artistry, patience, and living beauty of bonsai, bringing together hobbyists, collectors, and the community for a weekend of inspiration.
Highlights include:
Live Demonstrations – Free sessions on transforming nursery stock into bonsai, Saturday at 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.
Hands-On Classes – Pre-registered participants can create their own bonsai. Saturday, 1:00 pm: Intro to Bonsai. Sunday, 10:00 am: The Art of Kusamono.
Exhibit & Judging – Trees from beginner to advanced will be displayed and judged.
Sales & Supplies – Shop a curated selection of bonsai trees, tools, and accessories.
Guided Tours – Learn the traditions and techniques of bonsai from experienced guides.
This show represents an exciting milestone for the bonsai community in Colorado Springs. It’s a chance for people of all experience levels to discover the beauty and depth of Bonsai.
