New & Prospective Member Hike – Red Rock Canyon Open Space
Orientation hike for new and prospective members. Instruction will include 10 essentials, Leave no trace principles, hiking pace, risk management, and an overview of the CMC. We have so many aspects in our club, all led by volunteers who shared their expertise and passion. It is good to visit for hike to see all the offerings.
Meeting place and time
Here are the directions to our meeting location in Colorado Springs. Turn South on to the entrance road of RRCOS off of HWY 24 (Ridge Road just west of 31st Street) and then go around the roundabout toward the parking lots to the left (south). At the stop sign, DO NOT take a right into the main parking lot, but go straight through (East) and head to the back parking lot. I will be in a dark blue 4Runner. Read or print these directions as lots of folks have a hard time locating us. Meet at 8:30am.
