Event Summary
This event is in collaboration with Colorado Springs Cool Science Festival!
Hone your observational skills and learn more about the ecosystems on Pikes Peak!
Along with something to journal in and write with, don't forget to bring plenty of water, snacks/lunch, sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, pretty much anything you would want on a day hike. Sturdy shoes would be a plus, but not a requirement, as we will be doing a very short, easy walk on a dirt path.
There are restrooms and snacks/water for sale at the gift shop, but no potable water to fill your bottle.
We will meet at 10 am by the Bigfoot Statue in the parking lot of Crystal Reservoir. This is at Mile-6 of the Pikes Peak Highway. Be sure to allow 30 minutes to drive from the toll gate to Crystal Reservoir to arrive in time. Map Link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/75C7PQKn6nWZsdTd9
This event is subject to cancellation if bad weather is forecast. Check the website below for updates or you can call (719) 385-7325.
All ages are welcome, but this is best for ages 7 years and up – mostly because the subject matter, but also the hike is NOT stroller friendly.
