Event Summary
"Margins of Mercy"
—bestiaries, petrified blessings, abandoned archives, mourning feasts, and ordinary alters. I’ve come from the mountaintop, wounded, to tell the truth.
From the Artist:
Margins of Mercy is the poets attempt to speak all the truths that resist words. This solo exhibition is a tribute to the ways in which the holy allows itself to be accessed through the mundane, the profane, and the elegantly ordinary. Utilizing poetry, installation, and multidisciplinary works this exhibition is a love letter to all the truths we struggle to carry, it is—in performance and participation—a confession booth within the heart of the animal. Step in. Step in. Blessings reign abundant, we just have to beg. Here, a soft place of dirt to bend a knee. All enlightenment and levity and ascension begins with a wound and the willingness to be renamed—and in this series, we do this work together, as animals, as tarnished saints, as the wounded becoming healers.
