Event Summary
Jeremy Facknitz has been delighting audiences with his unique brand of high-energy theatrical folk-rock-jazz for nearly 30 years. His band "THE OTTOMANS" topped Hall of Fame rockers "THE WHITE STRIPES" for Best New Alternative Band at the Detroit Music Awards in 2001. Jeremy is a three-time finalist in the prestigious Kerrville Folk Festival new folk songwriting competition [Lyle Lovett, Steve Earle and Nanci Griffith are each two-time finalists] and he has successfully made performing his "day-job" for over a decade touring Canada. the U.S., and soon the U.K. and beyond.
The Jazz in the Garden 2026 season begins on May 29 at 7pm in the garden at the corner of N. Tejon and Monument Streets., just blocks north of downtown, and continues on alternate Fridays through August 21. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready to spend your evening with the best music to be found in the city–new, old, tried and true you don't want to miss a single one! We'll provide beverages (for donation) and music that will get your toes tapping and fingers snapping.
