Event Summary
Professor De Almeida holds a degree in music performance and jazz composition from the University of Southern Mississippi and the Berklee College of Music. He is the leader of three jazz groups, including The Truth Project Band, presenting his truth in music. An accomplished author and published clinician, in 2017 Henrique became the music director and president of the online school TheDrumSetCoach.com. He has performed several times at Carnegie Hall and writes articles for Modern Drummer Magazine.
The Jazz in the Garden 2026 season begins on May 29 at 7pm in the garden at the corner of N. Tejon and Monument Streets., just blocks north of downtown, and continues on alternate Fridays through August 21. Bring a picnic, lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready to spend your evening with the best music to be found in the city–new, old, tried and true you don't want to miss a single one! We'll provide beverages (for donation) and music that will get your toes tapping and fingers snapping.
Picnics welcome. Blankets and lawn chairs encouraged. Beverages available. Family-friendly music and atmosphere. Live broadcasts on KCME Jazz 93.5 FM will be available.
