The Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, is a vibrant 15-day celebration that marks the start of the traditional lunisolar calendar. Rooted in thousands of years of history, this holiday is a time for family reunions, self-reflection, and inviting prosperity and good fortune into the year ahead. Each Lunar New Year is associated with one of 12 animals in the Chinese zodiac, and 2026 ushers in the Year of the Horse in the Chinese zodiac. More specifically, it is the Year of the Fire Horse, which begins on February 17, 2026 and runs until early February 2027.

Colorado Springs Chinese New Year Festival
