Handball Futures Festival
July 22, 2026 1:00 PM –6:00 PM
Event Summary
Handball Futures brings a multi-day celebration of women's Team Handball to Colorado Springs with the Handball Futures Festival. The event showcases 48 selected female athletes competing across four regional teams — East, North, West, and South — as part of Handball Futures' mission to identify and develop the next generation of Team Handball talent.
The festival is rooted in the tradition of the original Olympic Festival, which was founded to introduce new athletes to the sport and connect emerging competitors with the champions who paved the way. This event honors that legacy by bringing Colorado Springs — home of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee — back to the center of American Team Handball.
Opening Day (Wednesday, July 22) kicks off with Opening Ceremonies and the start of competitive match play. Round-robin play continues Thursday and Friday, July 23–24, before the festival concludes Saturday, July 25 with the Bronze Medal Match, Championship Medal Match, and Awards Ceremony.
The festival is presented with support from the USATH Foundation and connects to Colorado Springs' identity as Olympic City USA.
