Pikes Peak Jazz & Swing Society 2nd Sunday Jazz presents "Gentle Rain"
Sultry vocalist Marcelle Hureau tells a story in every song she sings. Saxophonist and vocalist Ed Hureau brings to the stage an almost-forgotten era of style and class. Guitarist Jim Christian adds in the blues, jazz and soul. And bassist, Jason Crowe, supplies the rhythmic foundation with his virtuosity and melodic solo style. Drummer, Richard Clark is amazing on any musical styles, his drumming is memorable. And Sandi Shroads brings the piano to life. Together, Gentle Rain Band brings together a sound you want to hear.
The 3rd set continues the tradition of The Pikes Peak Jazz and Swing Society’s Second Sunday Jazz Affair with a jam session where attending musicians are invited 'sit-in'...always a highlight of the PPJASS Second Sunday experience!
