Event Summary
Springs Ensemble Theatre (SET) will open Frozen by Bryony Lavery, presenting a tightly focused, actor-driven exploration of understanding, acceptance, and the complicated terrain of forgiveness.
Directed by Henry Award nominee Matt Radcliffe, the production features three of Colorado Springs’ most respected performers: Henry Nominee Desiree Myers, Henry Winner Steve Emily, and Jane Fromme, who has performed in Colorado Springs for over three decades.
Lavery’s play follows three lives bound together by a violent crime: Nancy, a mother confronting unimaginable loss; Ralph, the man responsible; and Agnetha, a psychiatrist committed to understanding what drives violent behavior. Frozen asks an urgent question: what does it mean to seek understanding and forgiveness when the truth is unbearable?
Performed at the 59er Speakeasy in Old Colorado City, the one of a kind venue invites audiences into the story with an intimate, live performance.
