WWII Helldiver dive bomber, first public flight!
The National Museum of World War II Aviation hosts an historical presentation on the development and deployment of the Helldiver, along with the story of how the museum's Helldiver was brought up from the bottom of Lake Washington in the Seattle area by two teen-aged men, and its restoration here in Colorado Springs.
The Helldiver joins 28 other operational aircraft at the museum, along with hundreds of videos, exhibits, and artifacts.
