Kids' Talent Show
Since August, The Couch has been hosting kids talent shows every Sunday at 11:30 am at Coyote Park. Unsurprisingly, kids are surprisingly talented :). We have seen amazing, dancers, singers, poets, gymnasts, comics and more. COUCHELLA 2025 will start off with 1 hour of Talent Show performance from 2pm - 3 pm (sign up at 1:45 pm). Each participant is welcome to perform for up to 5 minutes. Donations/tickets for contest entry are accepted.
Dancelympics
Dancelympics is the debut of the newest Concrete Couch program, which is funded by Colorado Springs Health Foundation with the goal of creating sustainable health habits involving prolonged heart-rate-elevating activity for community-members of all ages. (Keep an eye out for the 40 upcoming dates throughout 2025 and 2026 at CONCRETECOUCH.ORG).
Everyone is encouraged to participate. Contest entry is one ticket per sesh.
To join the contest, just find a judge (they will be dressed distinctively), give them a carnival ticket for each sesh you want to support. They will give you a racing bib (if you don’t already have one), and write down your bib # on the clipboard for each sesh you’ve signed up for. NOTE: You can sign up at any point. You don’t need to participate for an entire session to be considered.
During each sesh, our esteemed, and highly qualified judge(s) will be circulating with clipboard(s) in hand, making note of the particulars of how each DANCELYMPIAN translates the music from groves into moves.
For this installment, dancers will be observed and acknowledged in two categories: Style and Endurance.
Style = Any style is a good style, whether it’s a memorized routine, or completely improvised. No rules. Just decorate your space with movement.
Endurance = Can anyone dance for an entire set? We’ll find out! Good luck!

Silent Auction And Raffle
We have been talking to all of our favorite businesses and artisans over the past months and collecting a collection of the region's most exciting goods and services, vis-a-vis their generous donations to support our raffle and silent auction. Raffle tickets will be the same price as all the other tickets $5. We will have drawings at each musical set change, so enter early and often, to ensure you maximize your odds! Silent auction table will require bids, top bidder at the end of the event will be the winner! Interesting prizes that we know of so far are 1 room from Kinship Landing, a dope bike from Wheel Good BMX, and a Plant Communion Fragrance from ROOTFOOT.COM (Natural Fragrances by Laura Huth). More to come!
Disc Golf Tourney
Did you know that there's a 9 hole Disc Golf Course on Concrete Coyote Community Park? Well, yep...there is! And at COUCHELLA on 10/18/2025, we're going to put you through it. It's a challenging course, so we recommend that you come hydrated and properly stretched. It's important to never underestimate the importance of proper stretching in and hydration! Fee to enter is two tickets aka $10. Winner gets a prize and/or a handshake and heartfelt congratulations from incoming Concrete Couch Executive Direct, Dustin Huth. Could be something cooler though. Potential sponsors email giving@concretecouch.org
Wait.....This Sounds Awesome And All, But What Is This Concrete Couch Thing That We'Re Raising Money For?
Good question! In short, Concrete Couch's mission is to build community through Creative Projects. In practice that means we are installing public art sculptures and murals on any surface that will hold still long enough to let us slap some mosaic tiles on it. And when I say us, I mean you. Because YOU -put the YOUNITY in COMM-YOU-NITY. Is that too much? Probably. Suffice to say, every project we do, is in collaboration with our community on some level. We are here to teach skills, and get people working together. Would it be easier to just go off and build stuff on our own, with our fleet of highly skilled artists? Of course. But for us, the most beautiful part of the art is not the art itself, but the moments and the friendships created as a result of the collaborative process of building art together. If you know an organization or entity that understands this value, please connect us. We would love to help beautify and build community together!
