Cave of the Winds Sound Bath feat. Grammy nominated flutist Sherry Finzer
September 5, 2025 7:45 PM –9:15 PM
Event Summary
On this rare night—when the full moon casts its radiant energy across the Earth—you’re invited deep underground for a sound bath unlike any other. Beneath ancient rock formations sculpted over millions of years, let the vibrations of Tibetan and Crystal Singing Bowls, Gongs, Native American Flute, Guitar, Hand Pan, and more wash over you and carry you into stillness.
For generations, Cave of the Winds has been honored as a sacred place of energy and transformation. The Apache and Ute peoples believed the Great Spirit of the Wind lived within these walls—and now, through sound, you’re invited to connect with that ancient energy in a new and healing way.
Sherry Finzer believes that music can be used as a tool to create healing. Fueled by stories shared by listeners and fans of how her music helps them deal with stress, depression, grief and physical ailments such as tinnitus, stroke, and cancer, she records, performs, composes, and runs the Heart Dance Records label.
She has won several awards for her music, and has recorded over 40 albums and EPs.
Dave Patrick, a lifelong musician and classical guitarist, brings a rich melodic element to the sound bath experience. With decades of musical expertise, Dave’s playing creates a soothing atmosphere that enhances the resonance of the bowls and instruments, weaving harmonic textures that invite a sense of deep peace and reflection.
A complimentary 1-hour integration session is available post-event to reflect on any emotions or experiences that arise during the sound bath.
What is a Sound Bath?
The essence of a sound bath lies in fostering profound rest, facilitating self-exploration and discovery, and providing relief from stress, anxiety, and daily concerns. It serves as a therapeutic practice aimed at calming the nervous system and clearing the mind, allowing participants to deeply connect with their bodies and inner selves.
You will need to bring a yoga mat or cushion to lie on and a pillow. We also recommend bringing items for warmth: a sleeping bag, blankets, and/or warm clothing, as the cave can get cold. Please dress comfortably, bring water, and eat beforehand.
