Event Summary
Cats are the main attraction here, and there will be plenty for the audience to meet. In addition to dozens of cats up for adoption at the booths gifted to local cat shelters and rescue agencies, TICA (The International Cat Association) will be hosting a Cat Show featuring dozens MORE cats who can be visited in their benching area. TICA is also hosting Breed Meet-and-Greets for the audience to pet and get info on Persian cats, Toygers, Maine Coons, Norwegian Forest Cats and Selkirk Rex cats. There are also a couple of celebrity cats with fans on social media. Hello Kitty will also be greeting fans!
Internet sensation Nathan the CatLady joins the fun, with all-day meet-and-greets and a 12:00 noon stage presentation about his international efforts to rescue cats and animals around the world. He'll show slides form his European adventures and answer questions.
Kitten Yoga is a new addition this year, hosted by Yoga with Eva. Sessions are at 11:30, 1:30 and 3:30, all included with the ticket price. Cat Fest celebrates the magical nature of cats with a Mystical Egyptian Cat Temple. Embellished with 8-ft tall Cat Goddess statues, it's an area where attendees may get a tarot reading, visit with a pet psychic or pay homage to their cats who have crossed over by adding their names or photos to a golden Memory Wall. If that's not your cup of tea, you may enjoy the Cat Video Cafe, where large TV screens play non-stop cat videos while you grab lunch or a snack from the cat-themed menu.
There are plenty of ways for cat lovers to be part of the fun, at the costume contest, free face painting booth, Kitten Yoga sessions and more. Attendees can compete in the "Creepiest Cat Story" challenge panel at 2:00 to win Cat Cash they can spend at any booth. All entertainment and activities are included with the admission ticket price (except food and adoption fees).
Cat Fest Colorado is hosted by Dana Cain Events, winner of 16 "Best of Denver" awards. Major Sponsors are TICA (the International Cat Association), Dr. Elsey's Precious Cat Products and EveryCat Health Foundation, all of whom will be at the festival.
