Event Summary
"A Raisin in the Sun" by Lorraine Hansberry tells the story of the Younger family, a Black family in 1950s Chicago waiting for a $10,000 life insurance check after the death of the family patriarch.
Drama and emotional conflict arises when Mama wants to buy a house, her son Walter Lee wants to invest in a liquor store, and her daughter Beneatha wants to pay for medical school.
Dinner will be served with a choice of two meats: Grilled Seasoned salmon or Cornish hen, two vegetables w/ pilaf rice and dessert.
