Although many events have been canceled or postponed due to safety concerns from COVID-19, there are still a number of ways you can enjoy the long weekend. From outdoor adventures like SUP paddle boarding and wilderness hikes, to informative sessions and one-of-a-kind tours, make the most of your Memorial Day weekend.

Take a cruise up to the Florissant Fossil Beds to learn about the geological history of the area. Daily events include an interpretive talk, ranger-guided walk, fossil learning lab and yoga hikes.

Great Outdoors Adventures is open for safe and fun guided and self-guided mountain and scenic tours.

In an effort to keep visitors safe, they are following these standards:

  • Customers will be able to watch a safety video, complete rental agreement and payment on your own device prior to arriving.
  • Trail rides will start at their private outdoor trailhead located near Westcreek, Colorado.
  • Their Woodland Park store location will remain closed until the State tells its healthy to be indoors.
  • All their equipment and restrooms are being sanitized between uses. Sanitizing wipes and sprays are available for customers to use.  
  • For physical distancing, you’ll drive a side-by-side vehicle with your group and follow a guide driving another vehicle
  • Cancellation fees will be waived 24 or more hours before your trail ride in case of last-minute changes due to your health or State requirements. There will be no cancellation fees if they need to cancel or reschedule your reservation for the same reasons.

3 Days, 20+ Bands, 1 Big Tent! One of Colorado's most eclectic music festivals will be held at the LaForet Conference & Retreat Center in Black Forest. The 11th annual MeadowGrass Music Festival will feature performances from more than 20 national, regional and local artists, music workshops, yoga, kid's activities, and camping.
