Overview
Harold Bustamante is a Colorado-based creative producer, writer, and director with more than 30 years of experience spanning music, live events, publishing, digital media, film, and television. He is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder Film Program and attended the New York Film Academy in Burbank, California, specializing in producing.
His background includes independent media production, festival and event operations, artist development, publishing, online content creation, documentary and reality television development, and narrative film production. His experience ranges from grassroots community projects and music culture initiatives to professional film and television environments.
Current projects include the development of several feature films, including a Colorado-based period story set in 1972, as well as efforts to support the growth of Colorado’s creative economy through the Colorado Creators Hub initiative. He is an advocate for expanding Colorado’s film and television infrastructure through increased industry collaboration, local investment, workforce development, and long-term studio and production resources within the state.
Harold has participated in events and activities associated with SXSW and is pursuing future involvement with Sundance-related initiatives. He is available as a producer-for-hire and welcomes collaboration with filmmakers, production companies, artists, and creative entrepreneurs seeking experienced project leadership, development, and production support.
