Visit Colorado Springs Launches “Stay Longer” Itineraries
New website hub showcases variety of year-round trip-planning inspiration
Wednesday, July 8, 2026 – Colorado Springs, Colo. – Today, Visit Colorado Springs officially launched the new “Stay Longer” itineraries hub on VisitCOS.com, enhancing trip-planning support for the region’s visitors.
“Our new itineraries hub is all about improving user experience and showcasing the many trip options in the Pikes Peak Region,” said Alexea Veneracion, Director of Communications at Visit COS. “We still see a lot of day trippers who come through to go up Pikes Peak or to Garden of the Gods – which we love! But this hub shows how you really can’t do it in a day or a weekend and encourages visitors to make a four-day stay out of it.”
The hub’s slogan of “Stay Longer, Experience More” and its overarching purpose tie directly into the organization’s Destination Master Plan. Increasing overnight and off-season visits help support the local economy while also enhancing stewardship efforts.
“The itineraries were crafted to support the way visitors plan their trips now using AI tools,” said Veneracion. “Our website’s AI chatbot, Penny, is powered by Guide Geek and primed to recommend the itineraries content to users. With the robust amount of content and search topics included, it’s also more likely the resource will get pulled into Google AI Overviews and other Large Language Models.”
On the page, visitors can search five categories to find the right itinerary – Travel Party Type, Regional Areas, Topics of Interest, Season of Trip and Length of Trip. If they can’t find exactly what they’re looking for, they are encouraged to also use Penny to assist with building out a more customized itinerary for their needs.
