Colorado Springs, Colo. – January 18, 2024 – Today, VCOS President & CEO Doug Price announced updates to the organization’s Board of Directors, voted on during the meeting on Tuesday, January 16.

Vacant Seats
Two vacant hotel and lodging seats were filled by the following nominees:

• Scott Flexman, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at The Broadmoor. Flexman has worked in the industry for many years in positions ranging from Catering Manager and Chef to VP of Sales and Marketing.
• Curtis Bova, General Manager of Hotel Polaris at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Bova has more than 30 years of achievement in the hospitality industry, most recently working as General Manager of The Inverness, a Hilton Golf & Spa Resort in Englewood, Colorado.

Officers
The following Board Members were approved for officer positions:

Gus Krimm, Vice-Chair. Krimm is the General Manager of The Mining Exchange, A Wyndham Grand Hotel & Spa. The Vice-Chair position is a role that has not been filled for many years.Dave Harris, Treasurer. Harris is the General Manager of the Ghost Town Museum.Becky Leinweber, Secretary. Leinweber is the Executive Director of the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance and Co-Owner of Angler’s Covey.
Second Terms
The following Board Members were appointed to second terms:

Susan Davies, Executive Director of the Trails and Open Space Coalition.Dr. Herman Crawford, Pikes Peak State College.Scott Marble, COO of the Colorado Springs Conservatory, was voted in as the Board President in late 2023 and assumed this role on January 1, 2024.

"We are excited to begin this year with new and returning board members, who, along with a dedicated slate of officers, are focused on supporting the important work being done at Visit Colorado Springs,” said Marble. “2024 is an Olympic/Paralympic Year in Olympic City USA, which will bring even more excitement into this dynamic city. We look forward to serving the community by attracting millions of visitors to marvel at the splendors of our region."
